As a company that takes all areas of diversity and inclusion seriously, we wanted to make sure that Wise offered ample employment opportunities to former armed forces servicemen and women.
Over the last few months, we’ve been reviewing the Defence Employer
Recognition Scheme which recognises those businesses which harness the immense talent and experience of our country’s ex-armed forces personnel.
Now, we’re delighted to say that following the recent hire of our new Business Development Manager, Lewis Compton we’ve received the
Bronze Award from the Armed Forces Covenant. A former Frontline Soldier, Lewis was within the armed forces for three years and now leads the business development within Wise as the business continues to expand across the entire self-employment industry.
Lewis said: “I’m just a few months into the role, but already it’s been great to get to grips with the Wise platform and really throw myself into the wide world of self-employment and technology.
“It’s great to see the business recognised by the Armed Forces Covenant – our servicemen and women have fantastic expertise and experience that can benefit any business within the private sector and it’s really important that they be given the opportunity to do that.”
This latest accreditation from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme comes shortly after Wise achieved Great Place To Work™ accreditation, with an overwhelming staff satisfaction score of 89%.
