The Wise App turns three

8 April, 2024

The first version of the Wise app was launched in April 2021, to work alongside the Wise Platform to improve the experience of self-employed drivers.

Since its launch three years ago, the Wise app has seen over 145,000 users which is a true testament to the hard work our entire team has put in to create an app that vastly improves the drivers experience.

Where did we start?

When the Wise app first launched, the goal was to allow self-employed drivers to:

  • Complete a job application digitally
  • Sign and submit all required documents
  • Get introduced to an approved accountant
  • View invoices

Where are we now?

In the last three years, we’ve come along way now not only do we still do the above, but user can:

  • Onboard in 10 minutes, speeding up how fast it takes them to start earning
  • Re-sign policies as requested by their contractor and receive notifications for expired documents, ensuring continued compliance
  • Access to a whole suite of complimentary perks, at no extra cost
  • Recommended a digital accountant all from within the app, creating a more seamless user experience
  • Onboard whether employed or self-employed!
  • Have a customised onboarding journey, each user can take a different path depending on specific requirements
