Throughout February, a bunch of the Wise team participated in The Prince’s Trust Future Steps challenge, hitting a minimum of 10,000 steps per day!
The Future Steps challenge sees teams from across the UK compete to walk the most steps across February, raising as much money as possible for The Prince’s Trust charity. The charity provides practical and financial support to vulnerable young people, and helps them to develop key skills along the road to further education, training and employment.
We had four teams this year who were eager to take part in the challenge. Sporting fantastic team names such as ‘It’s a backend issue’, ‘Quads of fury’, ‘Kokos’ and ‘Goon squad’, amongst them they have taken over an impressive six million steps.
Our teams raised over £500 that will go to the Princes Trust to help them support as many young people from disadvantaged communities and those facing the greatest adversity by supporting them to build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.
We’ve planned numerous charitable initiatives, including events like the Inflatable 5K, Bike-a-thon, and the Three Peaks Challenge, and we’ve chosen Birmingham Children’s Hospital as our charity partner for the year.
