Ecodrive Logistics is a rapidly growing business, currently operating an Amazon depot in Hull & East Riding with a team of 70 drivers and heading into their fourth peak. They have also recently opened three DHL sites across the East Midlands, Lincoln, and York, all in their early stages. And with two FedEx sites planned for Horncastle and Howden, along with their own bodyshop scheduled for early 2026, the business shows no signs of slowing down.
The problem
From day one, Ecodrive Logistics chose to partner with Wise. They understood the risks that come with managing self-employed drivers without the right systems in place. As well as how much time manual admin would take away from running and scaling their operation.
A reliable, accurate payment solution was also a priority. It was important to them to ensure drivers were paid correctly and on time, avoiding any confusion or mistrust.
The Solution
Ecodrive Logistics first discovered Wise through the VAS provider list when joining Amazon. The platform stood out as a simple, easy-to-use solution that addressed their biggest challenges.
While they initially used Wise for its onboarding tools and automated payment technology, they quickly ended up using every feature of the platform. It offered everything they needed in one place, in a way that matched their processes and supported their changing needs as they grew.
The results
Since partnering with Wise, Ecodrive Logistics has been able to keep operations smooth and organised. It has also supported them as they continue to scale across multiple sites. Overall, Wise has had a positive impact across all areas of admin and compliance, allowing the team to focus more on growth and less on paperwork.
They’ve also found the platform easy to use from a driver and admin perspective. Custom onboarding workflows and straightforward invoicing features have helped streamline their internal processes and make day-to-day operations far more efficient.
