Giving back to our community and charitable causes is a key part of the culture at Wise, whether that’s through our yearly Wise on Wheels challenge, Christmas food drives for homeless shelters or many other initiatives.
So, when we heard about The Prince’s Trust’s Future Steps challenge, where individuals and teams commit to walking at least 10,000 steps a day through the whole of February, we knew we had to get involved to help fundraise for such a great cause.
The Prince’s Trust supports young people, particularly those that are vulnerable or in difficult circumstances, to help set them up for a better future. This covers everything from working with them towards stable housing, providing them with skills training to improve their outlook and even support towards employment.
Anyone who’s spent any time in the Wise offices will be well aware of two things – we are a competitive bunch and we absolutely love a challenge. So, throughout the entirety of February, within teams of six, a large number of the Wise team have been pounding the pavement and terrorising their treadmills to get their steps in each and every day, rain or shine!
In total, we’ve raised £275 to support the Future Steps challenge despite some incredibly volatile weather conditions and it’s been great to see the commitment and teamwork from across the business to make this happen.
