On Friday 10th May, we held our second client vs. employee football match.
This year, we headed down South to play at Vicarage Road Stadium.
The Match
We kicked off at 10:30 AM, with both teams raring to go! Despite the hot day, the match was intense, with both sides giving their best effort. At halftime, we had some valuable discussions to strategise, but the Wise clients ultimately showcased outstanding skill and teamwork.
The Result
As the game came to a close, the score ended at 12-1 to the Wise clients – taking the win for the second year in a row! Despite the loss, our team kept their spirits high and congratulated the clients on their well-deserved victory.
Post-match refreshments
We closed the afternoon enjoying some delicious food and refreshments, bringing everyone together. It was a fantastic opportunity for casual networking and relaxation after an intense match.
Holding these events for our clients is crucial to our business. They not only provide a platform for friendly competition but also help in strengthening relationships. It was heartening to see everyone from the Wise team attend, including our CEO!
We are already looking forward to next year’s match, aiming to improve our game and perhaps turn the tables.
