This year marks a big milestone for us at Wise – our sixth birthday!
Originally, Wise launched right in the middle of a pandemic, on little more than a few laptops, a lot of caffeine, lines of code that are still running to this day, and a big idea. Back then, we never predicted where we’d be six years later. But today, here we are, still building, still learning, and still growing – and we couldn’t be happier.
In that time, a lot has changed. We’ve moved out of our original hole-in-the-wall office and into our current hub, our team has grown, and so have our ambitions. But through it all, our mission has stay exactly the same.
Right there in our name: Wise. We Improve Self Employment.
Since launch, that’s been our focus. We wanted to make life easier for self-employed drivers and the businesses that support them. To cut through the difficulties of onboarding and compliance, and build software that supports people in their jobs. And it’s what we’re still doing today with our market-leading onboarding and compliance platform.
Over the years, we’ve:

- Partnered with some of the biggest names in delivery
- Onboarded 230,000+ drivers through Wise
Those numbers mean a lot to us, but the people behind them mean even more. The teams who trusted us early on, the partners who’ve grown alongside us, and the Wise team who keep pushing things forward each day.
