Solihull Firm To Play Key Role At Birmingham Tech Week

Ahead of Birmingham Tech Week, a fast-growing Solihull technology company is set to play a key role in the proceedings with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
Wise, one of the Midlands’ fastest-growing firms, will be playing a key role in Birmingham Tech Week, which is the UK’s largest regional technology festival, and takes place between the 10th and 14th of October.
As proud sponsors of Digital Skills Day on the 13th October, Wise will be heavily involved throughout the day. Firstly, James Orton, the company’s CPTO and Hannah Jarrad, Head of People and Culture, will be delivering a presentation on how firms can scale-up with technology talent in the Midlands.
Following this, there will be a Women in Tech roundtable looking at how businesses and individuals can make changes to help address the gender imbalance currently seen throughout the UK technology industry. Finally, the day will be wrapped up with ‘Talk, Tech & Tipple’, an evening drinks event in collaboration with School of Code at The Button Factory in the Jewellery Quarter.
James Orton, CPTO at Wise, said: “The growth in Birmingham’s technology sector that we’ve witnessed over recent years is truly impressive and we’re excited to see all of this come together at this year’s Birmingham Tech Week. We’re delighted that Wise is able to play a prominent role in this year’s event and i’m looking forward to both sharing insights and hearing from so many industry leaders across the entire week.”
