ARKS Transport

CASE STUDY

ARKS Transport Ltd is a high-quality multi-drop delivery service based in the West Midlands working with carriers such as Amazon and DPD. Although they have been delivering promises since 2018, after partnering with Amazon just eighteen months ago this family-run logistics firm already has a headcount of over 50 – delivering parcels from their base in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

Wise and the whole team have been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process with their account management team on hand to answer any questions we had with total honesty and no fuss. They are a dream to deal with.

The challenge

ARKS Transport Ltd needed to find a way to manage all of its subcontractor drivers as it began to set up its logistics network, whilst also ensuring that the business remained protected from any issues around compliance or HMRC enquiries.

The solution

Wise provided ARKS Transport with a streamlined easy onboarding process, reducing time, saving them money all whilst being HMRC compliant. Harnessing our expert knowledge in the self-employed sector, ARKS Transport was able to successfully scale up its operations knowing that it had a complete digital overview of their entire subcontractor pipeline at all times. The midlands firm was able to receive expert advice and safeguarding when it comes to compliance, creating another layer of protection from any potential tax-based issues around self-employment.

The benefits

Being a new business within the logistics space, starting out during a particularly difficult time for UK businesses, ARKS was able to have a stress-free and compliant onboarding process from the very beginning. The firm was also able to develop a strong relationship with its subcontractor drivers by using the Wise digital platform to send updates and contracts directly to them through the accompanying Wise mobile app.

The Results

The Droitwich-based delivery firm now has a network of over 80 self-employed delivery drivers who deliver packages to customers across the region.
